The needs of 3D information of the existing environment and built infrastructure are increasing significantly. Pöyry provides advanced capabilities for collecting accurate and detailed geodata in 3D using cost-effective methods such as digital photogrammetry, remote sensing, airborne and terrestrial laser scanning.
We process and model the geodata for 3D virtual site models which includes ground surface, structures and vegetation. Virtual models can be completed by as-built data of inside/outside building structures, and underground spaces. By connecting attribute and database information to virtual models, we develop more intelligent BIM models.
Digital terrain models and sophisticated 3D city models are used for urban and infrastructure development and engineering, water and flood engineering as well as engineering of existing and new industrial and mining sites.
Major applications for accurate and detailed digital 3D as-built models based on laser scanning are industrial and infrastructure rebuild engineering projects, and maintenance and facility management systems. Other key areas of applications are buildings, bridges and tunnels, large structures, and supervision of construction work.
By modelling and managing the existing information, we assist our clients in decision-making, better engineering and maintenance work, analysing, visualising and training tasks, and minimising lifecycle costs.
